Puglia takes sustainable steps

We land at Bari’s modest airport in Puglia, the sun-drenched region perched on the heel of Italy’s boot. Long overshadowed by the country’s wealthier north, Puglia has traditionally relied on agriculture, producing much of Italy’s olive oil, pasta wheat and wine. Its humble roots gave rise to cucina povera—the “kitchen of the poor”—where simple, seasonal ingredients are transformed into rustic satisfying dishes.

A Taste of Tuscany

This is a very special  special tuscany holiday.As I arrive in the July heat at The Watermill at Posara, deep in rural Tuscany, I am immediately struck by the peace and tranquillity of the place. Ochre-coloured walls draped in tumbling plumbago and giant terracotta pots overflowing with white and fuchsia pink hydrangeas create a favourable first impression.
