Tequila and horses in Mexico

I return to possibly my favourite destination in the world. Rancho Las Cascadas is a luxury riding ranch 7,000 feet up in the Sierra Madre mountains, and more than 5000 miles away from the UK. The weather in January is perfect for riding here. The sun climbs high into the sky in the middle of the day and can be pretty hot but it cools down quickly in the evenings.

Ranch riding Tombstone

Tombstone Monument Ranch is one of a kind. The accommodation is a replica of the main street of a Wild West town just two miles out of Tombstone itself. Opened  in 2010 it now belongs to a consortium including the True family who own the White stallion ranch in Tucson.
