Australia is the land of sunshine and opportunity. Come along with Eccentric England to explore incredible beaches, fantastic wineries, unique animals and even the biggest gold pit in the world. Australasia is the smallest continent. It includes Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, and some of the small islands in between. Australia is bordered by the Indian Ocean on the west and the Pacific Ocean on the east. I have travelled many times to Western Australia and have also been to Sydney, the Gold Coast, New Zealand and Tasmania. I love the sunshine, the unique animals and the people, who are generally open and straightforward compared to other cultures. It used to be a very cheap destination for us Brits when I first travelled there but it’s not any more. This remains one of my favourite international destinations.
