It has multiple islands and archipelagos to its name including the Baleriac islands Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Malta. Madeira, Crete and Cyprus. Not forgetting our very own British Isles! France, Spain, Italy and Portugal are among the Brits most popular countries for holidays but there is lots more to this cultural smorgasbord!
The Basque Country, straddling the border between France and Spain, is a region rich in history and is culturally unique.. The Basque people, known as the Euskaldunak, speak Euskara, a language unrelated to any other in Europe. This distinctive linguistic heritage, along with a strong sense of identity and traditions, has long set the Basque Country apart.
Everyone has their favourite but this is the best Greek island to visit without doubt! My first visit to Paros in the Cyclades group of islands, was 38 years ago and it has always held a special place in my heart. Back then it was hot, dreamy and beautiful.
Thessaloniki food
What do you think of when you think of Greek food? Greek salad with feta cheese for sure. Or maybe Souvlaki and chips. Or Moussaka? A glass of Ouzo perhaps?

Innsbruck in summer – is it worth visiting?
People are used to visiting Innsbruck for skiing and the Christmas markets in the winter but it’s also a stunning summer destination with plenty going on for every kind of visitor.
Verbier Summer Festivals
Verbier in Switzerland. Known for its ski-ing, snowboarding, and après ski. In past times Verbier was pretty much closed in the summer season. Not any more. Redefining itself as a real summer destination, Verbier is majoring on high end cultural events and activities.
