The time had come to say goodbye. Oman gave us a tantalising taste of the real Arabia which no shopping Mall in Dubai could ever compete with.

We spent our last few days in the modest but perfectly comfortable Marina hotel which was funnily enough, right in the middle of the Muscat Marina.
Oman shopping – from Sur to the souks. We now find ourselves at a town called Sur. On the way we swim in the Wadi fully clothed to preserve our female modesty.
A Wadi is a dry river bed or valley which fills up in the rainy season and sometimes can flood. They are usually found in remote desert locations.
