Blithe Spirit
This week’s run of the glorious Blithe Spirit at the Little Theatre in Gateshead continues. Audiences are clapping after every scene which has got to be a good sign.

Alnwick Castle is awesome
Alnwick Castle dates right back to the Norman period. Owned by the Percy family, it has been a military outpost, a teaching college, a refuge for evacuees and more recently a film set.
Poultry at the country show
Poultry appreciation is always one of the cornerstones of the country show. Eggs are judged on their size, colour and the yellowness of the yolk. There are numerous competition categories for different breeds and even a prize for the ‘prettiest hen.’
The Country Show
It’s great to know that on some sunny Saturday, you can still get up close and personal with an Alpaca, listen to a heart lifting brass band, or watch a sheep dog demonstration.
Weardale Railway
The Weardale Railway is an 18 mile heritage line which runs from a connection with the main railway network at Bishop Auckland in County Durham to Eastgate. It steams its way through the Weardale Area of Outstanding Beauty.
Grainger Market a Newcastle gem
The Grainger market is 188 years old! It was built to replace an open air butcher’s market and is one of the few remaining 19th century buildings still trading as a covered market in the UK.
