I love the Potfest in the park and it’s always a summer event highlight for me. I was keen to support its return this year post Covid. There are over 100 exhibitors from throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. Each ceramic artist has their own distinctive style an has spent years perfecting their art.
The industrial art heritage of the North East is celebrated in some amazing outdoor sculptures. If you are out for a walk or a cycle along the well known C2C (sea to sea) cycle path and you pass the town of Consett, you may then glance up and see quite an astonishing sight.
Hillside Huts and cabins in Northumberland are the brain child of Philip Gregory and his wife Fiona. Shepherd’s huts were a common sight in the English countryside during the eighteenth century. A small wheeled ‘roulette’ it provided some shelter for the shepherd, but was hardly a luxury option.
Hemmel House is a brand new eco house near Craster village in Northumberland, built employing local craftsmen and natural materials. This holiday property to rent is really something special.
